America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education Grant Awarded to Clearwater

Clearwater Schools was privileged to be awarded an America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education Grant of $10,000. The grant money was utilized to kickoff the district Project Lead the way initiative and helped to cover the costs of PLTW memberships, teacher training, PLTW supplies and Android tablets used in the courses.  Thank you, Monsanto, for this terrific gift!

America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, helps farmers positively impact their communities by supporting local school districts. The program gives farmers the opportunity to nominate a rural public school district in their community to compete for merit-based grants of either $10,000 or $25,000 to enhance math and/or science education. Since 2011, over $12 million has been awarded to school districts through this program.
