Garry Welch Named Director of Operations
 

Clearwater USD 264 is excited to announce that Garry Welch has been selected as Director of Operations. He will oversee custodial operations, grounds maintenance and transportation. 
 

While earning his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wichita State University, Welch worked for Wichita USD 259 as part of their custodial staff. His hard work did not go unnoticed and most recently Welch served as a custodial supervisor, overseeing a fourth of the district's buildings and managing a large custodial staff.
 

He is excited to be a part of the Clearwater school district to “learn the ins and outs of the job and to build relationships with staff.” He said, “I got a great feeling from the people that I met during my interview. Everyone is friendly and open. I’m looking forward to being a part of that.” 
 

He lives in Wichita with his wife and four children. This position is a “great opportunity personally and professionally,” he said. 
 

“Garry is a great fit for the position and we are excited to have him as a part of our team. He’s ready to build on the good things we have going,” said Chris Cooper, Superintendent.
